Work Experience

In the Spring of my sophomore year of high school, I found the afternoons to be too quiet with cross country in offseason. I began my first job, outside of working for my father in the summers, at a retail store in Dallas. For the next four years I worked as a Sales Associate, beginning my experience at Kid Biz Inc. for eighteen months and transitioning to the Impeccable Pig for the following two years. As a Sales Associate at both companies, I assessed clientele needs to offer style guidance and recommend options attuned for each customer. Another one of my tasks included  organizing marketing strategies and proposals to bring in new clients of all socio-economic status’ and ages. I also promoted business by actively participating in marketing campaigns such as the company’s website, Facebook page and blog.

I am currently an active writer for the fashion company Blake Love. Each week I meet with my employer to discuss strategies for attracting various clientele. This position has created the opportunity of developing precise skills with photoshop applications and creating website layouts. I compose two to three postings per week and spend additional time on drafting and editing each post. I use marketing analysis to gather insight on specific age groups that the company targets, as it reaches a wider range in ages. Retail may not be in my career path, but it is a favorite hobby that I have adopted over the past five years.
